Northern Health has posted a Thank You to the Primary Care Society to express their gratitude for our innovative approaches to care and collaboration in Fort St James for more than a decade.  As of September 1, ownership of the primary care clinic has transitioned from the Primary Care Society to Northern Health. This change is part of an effort to streamline all care services under one roof in the new hospital and health care centre, which is set to open in January 2025.

The Primary Care Society has been instrumental to providing care in the community and in recruiting physicians and other healthcare professionals to the area. The work and advocacy that they have done on behalf of those living in Fort St. James and the surrounding area is recognized.
