BRAND NEW FACILITIES

The Nats’oojeh Hospital and Health Centre opened in January of 2025 and provides culturally-safe care to the community of Fort St James as well as the First Nation’s Communities of Takla, Yekooche, Nak’azdli, and Tl’azt’en (Binche and Tachie). The hospital has 24/7 emergency, diagnostic, laboratory, palliative care and a pharmacy. It offers full and part time physicians as well as visiting specialists.

The facility houses the hospital and the health centre. It has 27 beds including 18 long-term care beds as well as expanded laboratory and diagnostic imaging. The new hospital provides a great working and healing environment and health care professionals can expect a broad spectrum of practice and diversity in duties in the rural setting.

The Dadzi Wellness Centre is a groundbreaking, standalone First Nations primary care facility located in Fort St. James in north central British Columbia. This Centre serves the region of the Nak’azdli Whut’en, Binche Whut’en and Tl’azt’en First Nation (Dakelh people).  The Dadzi Wellness Centre services are designed to provide wraparound, team-based primary care, mental health and traditional wellness services. It is expected that the centre will initially operate Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory Holidays) during regular business hours (this may change over time due to operational needs).
